Seriously though I think the best idea for a track to get new racers is to get a TV commercial. When I raced at the Hobby Stop the owner got a commercial run locally and within a short time it added a C and D main to every weekly race. I feel this happened because people didn't know what slotcars were before it. It is an obvious solution, look at the average person when we get home from work or school we plop on our asses and watch TV. The only problem with my plan is that I don't know the cost to get a commercial run locally. Canada sucks!!!!!!

try calling the local college, they probably have an AV program that may do it for free. Shoot the commercial that is. Then it is a matter of getting a local network to run it, there are probably local discounts for small businesses. It is a good idea that has been kicked around, the only problem is usually local TV sucks and no one watches it, only national tv and that is an arm and a leg to advertise on. Call the local network though and the college and see what happens, maybe if you get a tv add and enough racers start coming out, in a couple of years florida may actually have a good racer to brag about instead of you.
